On Friday, November 20, 2020 William Christopher Skipworth, loving husband and father passed away at the age of 60. Chris was born January 15, 1960 in Nashville, TN. While he enjoyed retirement for several years, he had a rewarding career as an ATP in the home health industry.
On July 2, 2004 Chris married his long time sweetheart, Melissa Dixon Kizer and together they raised their three children.
Chris loved the UT Vols, music, and photography. Photography was in his blood. His grandfather Burnis Skipworth, was a game warden and wildlife photographer, his father Freddy Skipworth was a News Channel 5 photojournalist.
Chris was preceded in death, by his father Freddy Skipworth Sr, his mother Ruth Rogers Skipworth, and his brother, Freddy Skipworth Jr. He is survived by his wife Melissa Skipworth, sons Trever Skipworth and Clay Kizer, daughter Shaunna Kizer Tidwell (Travis), grandchildren, Kaylor Seybert Skipworth, Ainsley Skipworth, Cody Tidwell, Dayton Tidwell and Jeanie Tidwell, niece Emily Skipworth, nephew Dale Skipworth(Michelle) and several great nieces and nephews. Also survived by special Aunt and Uncle Martha and Butch Phipps of Glasgow, Ky and many beloved cousins. And lastly he had many special lifelong friends who were family Tami Waggoner, Timmy Belcher, Jimmy Armstrong, Rick Hurt and Eric Linerode.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 1, 4-8 pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Mask and Social Distancing expected and appreciated.
