Charlie Wayne Sharp of Hendersonville, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at the age of 76. Preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Sharp and Lessie Hopkins, and sister, Shelbie Jones. Survived by his daughters, Lisa Smith (Wayne), Lori Hutchison (Jason), and their mother, Esta Hickman. "PaPa" to Logan Smith, Hope Poelma (Adam), Hailey Hutchison and soon to be great-grandson, Sawyer Poelma. Charlie is also survived by nephews, Jason Jones (Angela) and Johnny Jones along with many other extended family and friends.

Charlie was born on February 10, 1942 in Pulaski, Tennessee. He retired as a manager with Peterson Tool & Dye Company. He was avid fan of Vanderbilt football and NASCAR, favorite driver being the late Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed taking his family on vacations to Florida and later playing golf. His daughters stated he could be strict and stubborn but softened up once his grandchildren came along. He will be dearly missed by his family and by all those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Friday, October 26th at 1:00PM, officiated by Pastor Jerry Peace. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25th from 4:00PM-8:00PM and again on Friday, one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held following the service at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.
