Mr. Charles Elbert “Pete” Williams, Sr. of Hendersonville, TN, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Skyline Hospital.
Mr. Williams was born on September 13, 1928, in Lebanon, TN, to the late John Henry Williams and Reedie Faye ( Jones ) Williams.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-three years, Mary Irene Williams and two brothers, Charles Kenneth Williams and RD Williams. He retired after fifty years of service from Electric Service, Inc., Nashville, TN, serving as a shop repair manager.
He loved his wife, his childhood sweetheart, better than life itself and provided a beautiful home and environment for her and their two sons. Mr. Williams loved with all his heart his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed walking with his “Doll” throughout the neighborhood and visiting with his neighbors.
A believer in God Almighty, faithful, humble, giving, compassionate, and a beautiful example of marriage in the love story he and Irene wrote together.
Survivors include two sons, Chuck Williams (Carol) and Roger Dale Williams; grandchildren, Russell Chad Williams, Rachel Celeste Sadler, Rebecca Carrie Campbell, and Ashley Nicole Williams; great-grandchildren, Whitney Caroline Williams, Madeline Lauren Williams, Savannah Paige Sadler, Isabella Hope Dancer, Gavin Trace Williams, Hallie Lane Dancer, Deanna Shay Williams, Charles Taye Sadler, Crew Russell Campbell, and Bentley Lane Williams; and a brother, Jerry Samuel Williams.
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 3:00 P.M., Mount Olivet Cemetery on Lebanon Road Nashville, TN with Chuck Williams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chad Williams, Kenta Sadler, Brent Campbell, Jerry Williams, Jr., Lynn Russell, Mark Russell, Trace Williams, Taye Sadler, and Crew Campbell.
He will forever be missed, never forgotten and now resides with his beautiful wife in Heaven for always and forever.
