Charles Randal Davis (“Randy”), age 67, went home to be with our Savior on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Randy was born in Springfield, TN, to Charles and Naomi Davis. He graduated from Goodlettsville High School and began working at Service Merchandise, where he spent most of his career. He retired from Town & Country Ford in 2019.
Randy married his wife, Donna, in 1977. They had two children, Chad and Allison. His family was one of his greatest treasures, and he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. If he wasn’t spending time with his family, he was thinking of ways to serve them or make them laugh. Those who knew Randy admired his kind spirit and his ability to treat everyone the same. He could find the best in anyone.
Fishing, football, and family were some of his favorite hobbies, but the most notable part of his life was his faith. Randy and Donna were faithful members of College Heights Baptist Church, and most recently members of First Baptist Gallatin. Randy treasured his time in God’s Word each day and lived a life evident of his walk with the Lord.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Charles O. and Frances Naomi Davis, and brother, Charles Michael Davis. He is survived by his wife, Donna Davis; children, Chad Davis (Debi) and Allison Ferguson (Rob); eight grandchildren; and siblings Tommy Davis (Claudia), Ricky Davis (Kathy), Teresa Wheeler, and Bobby Davis (Debbie).
A celebration of his life is scheduled for Monday, January 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with prior visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt (ChildrensHospitalVanderbilt.org) or The Gideons International (SendTheWord.org).
