Charles E. Hamlet "Pa", 75, of Hendersonville died Wednesday, January 11th, 2017.
Charles was an Army veteran where he had the occasion to meet Elvis when they both were in the service. He had many interest including photography in which he earned many awards, as well as having enjoyed hunting and fishing. He met his late wife, who had also been his high-school sweetheart. They had been married 51 years when Mary Jane passed away. Always a people person, he watched over his neighborhood and loved keeping up on Facebook. He also loved his animals. He had retired as a supervisor, with over 35 years, for Anchor Wire Corp.
He was the son of the late Arthur Thomas & Flora Mae Hamlett; he was also predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane Hamlett; his sister Faye Cook and her husband Lou; his brother Larry Hamlett; and his mother-in-law Mary Woods. He is survived by his son Robert W. and wife Jennifer; granddaughters Alicia Mae Loftis and husband Daniel, and Ashley Nicole Hamlett; his sister Jackie Vaught; his brother Wayne and wife Carolyn; and his sister-in-law Barbara Hamlett. He will live on in the memories of his family and friends as a hard-working, dedicated, and loving husband - father - grandfather - and treasured friend.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 15th from 4 - 8 pm and Monday, January 16th from 11am - 1pm A celebration of life service will be held Monday at 1pm with entombment at Hendersonville Memory Gardens Mausoleum . www.hendersonvillefh.com
