Charles Denney

Charles Edward Denney, age 88 of Gallatin, TN passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Gallatin.

Charles was born June 17, 1930 in Lebanon, TN, son of the late Charles P. and Ruby (Clemons) Denney. Charles started Denney Office Furniture out of his truck over 30 years ago, a business his family still owns and operates today in Gallatin. He was a lifeguard for the 7th Fleet and was in U.D.T.; a decorated Sailor of the Korean Conflict. In his spare time he loved going to casinos and gambling, especially rolling the dice. Charles will be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted husband, a great father and the best "Gran" to all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Faye Denney in 2017. Surviving are his children, Steve Denney (Teri), Jeff Denney, Brian Denney (Xiang Yu), and Lisa Barnett (Will); grandchildren, Daniel, Andrew, Matthew, Jake, Charly, Amy, and Sophia; great-grandchildren, Gracelynn, Mason, Cainen, and Wyatt.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 11am-1pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home (353 E Main St Hendersonville, TN 37075) with a graveside service to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
