Charles B. Nabors passed away on Wednesday, January 17th, 2024, at the age of 85 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease.  He is preceded in death by his parents Roselle Turner and Charles R. Nabors and his brother Don Nabors.  He is survived by his wife, Ann Nabors, his children, Greg Nabors, and Lara Graff (Chris), his grandchildren, Travis Nabors, Amy Gutierrez (Dominique), Anna Graff, and his sister Sharon Eden.

Charles was born on September 19, 1938, in Nashville, TN. Everyone that knew and loved him called him Buddy.  He graduated high school from Isaac Litton in 1959.  Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  He was stationed on the USS Tutuila (ARG-4) at Norfolk, Virginia for two years.  He was very proud to serve his country. After his service in the Navy, he went to printing school and worked for Benson Printing Company in Nashville. Later, he worked for his uncle at W.A. Nabors' Crane Service.  He then worked for Elliot Crane for 30 plus years, where he operated cranes, worked as office foreman and dispatcher, and was a sales representative. He loved his job and enjoyed sharing stories of his experiences working at different job sites.

He married Ann in 1970 and they moved to Hendersonville where they resided together for 54 years.  Buddy was very active and had a hard time sitting still. He was always working on something in his basement or garage. He took great pride in taking care of his home and doing yard work. He spent many hours on Old Hickory and Center Hill Lake, water skiing behind his 1967 Stevens V-Drive boat.  His boat was his pride and joy.  He kept it in mint condition, and he would show it to anyone that set foot on his property.  He was also an avid cyclist.  He loved staying fit and he cycled many miles all around Sumner County.

Buddy was also known as Grandaddy and Goggie. He adored his children and grandchildren, and he was very proud of all of them.  He enjoyed traveling with Ann to many interesting places.  He was respected and beloved by all who met him, and he will be greatly missed.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 27th from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Funeral Home, & Cremation Center 353 E. Main Street.  A Celebration of His Life will follow at 3:00 PM.
