Cecil Padgett

Cecil Fredrick Padgett, age 85, of Hendersonville, TN passed away Thursday December 21, 2017. He was born November 1, 1932 in Port Jervis, NJ to the late Sanford William and Ada Rosemond Padgett. Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Padgett and son, Clay Padgett.

Cecil is remembered by his family as a well-traveled man that could build anything. He traveled the United States supervising the construction of commercial buildings. He also supervised work on the Alaskan Pipeline. Cecil especially loved traveling out west and Alaska will always hold a piece of his heart. He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and served his country from 1951-1954, primarily in West Germany.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Corbitt (Allen); daughter, Kathi Padgett; daughter, Lisa Padgett; son, Miles Padgett (Elizabeth); sister, Carol Stivers (James); sister, Beverly Vallier; sister, Heather Luster (Mark); five grandchildren; three nieces and three nephews.

Private services will be held at a later date.
