Carolyn L. Harrell- age 80 went to be with the Lord on March 29, 2015.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Marvin Langley; sisters, Eunice Langley Batchelor and Doris Langley Lindsey. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William Harrell; children, Steve (Marty) Harrell, Linda (Wayne) Denton, and Laura (Roy) Vaughn; grandchildren, Stephanie Harrell (Josh) Carroll, Jessica Harrell, Brandon and Drew Denton, Shelby Denton (Spencer) Shanes, Jordan, Patrick, and Phillip Vaughn; great-grandchildren, Eden, Phoebe and Hazel Carroll; brother, Thurman Langley and sister, Lois Langley Dixon.
Carolyn was a woman of faith who loved the Lord. She was a devoted member of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. She was also an amazing cook. Some of her most famous recipes that she passed along to her children and grandchildren were BBQ Chicken and cornbread. Besides cooking she was a master bridge player in her spare time. She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hendersonville First Baptist Church Sunday School Classes.
A Life Celebration service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30a.m. at Hendersonville First Baptist Church with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. A private burial will follow.
