Carolyn B. Hansen

Carolyn B. Hansen, 81, of Hendersonville passed away on Thursday December 28, 2023.  Carolyn was born on February 16, 1942, to the late Clarence and Theresa (Hanner) Bird in Hartford, Connecticut.

Carolyn graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Social Work.  She spent the majority of her career in Social Work with the State of Michigan from where she eventually retired.  Carolyn had a green thumb and her home was filled with many plants of which she took great pride.  She loved to volunteer giving her time to such organizations as the local hospital and The Literacy Council of Middle Tennessee.  Her greatest joy was being with her family.  Her love will be greatly missed.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter Anne Curtis, son in law Jim Curtis, grandson Jimmy Curtis, and granddaughter Nicole Curtis.

The family will have a private memorial for Carolyn.
