Carol Anne Vollmer age 71 of Castalian Springs was born on April 12, 1942 and passed away peacefully on April 1, 2014.
Carol spent the majority of her life in Fort Lauderdale, FL, where her love for God and children was cultivated and shared with various Catholic Adoption Services, where she became a foster mother for numerous babies until they were adopted. After her time in Florida Carol and her family moved to Gallatin, TN, and joined Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church where they have attended for 20 years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Terry Vollmer; daughters, Linda (Steve) Woods and Lisa Vaske; grandchildren, Travis, Brooke, Brayden and Tyler, whom she was a second mother for, and devoted her everything to; sisters, Mary and Elaine, and special friends, Ruth and Phil Croghan.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 12PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with interment to follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. A visitation with the family will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
