PREGEL, SR. CARL M. - Age 67 of Portland passed away October 8, 2013. He was an honorable, compassionate, empathetic, outgoing man with a sense
of humor. He loved to joke around. He was caring, affectionate, sentimental, and loving in all aspects of his life. He also loved the spirit of competition. Carl was a devout Christian man whose life centered on and revolved around the Lord. He was an Ordained Minister and an active member of Mitchellville First Baptist Church. He was active in Mission Discovery for the past 18 years and in Tres Dias. He enjoyed golfing,
being with his family, camping, and traveling. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Frank Pregel, Sr. and Ruth Frances Jenkins Pregel; brothers, James Robert Pinkleton and Robert Frank Pregel, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Pat Taylor Pregel; children,
Carl Milton Pregel, Jr. (Wendy Ann), Ryan Keith Pregel (Wendy Jay), Christen Michelle Nokes (Jeremy Ted); grandchildren, Zachary Lawrence Pregel, Jonathan Boyd Nokes, Stacey Marie Nokes, Paxton Joley Pregel, and Kara Kaye Nokes; brother, Edward L. Pregel; extended family members and numerous friends. A Life Celebration will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Hendersonville First Baptist Church with interment to follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church.
