C. Hill

HILL, Sr., Charles Richard, 70, of Gallatin, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012. Survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Annette Fowler Hill; daughter Robin Miles Shackleford; daughter Nancy Ben Lyle; son Rick Stephanie Hill; grandchildren Cayce Bentley, Abbye Hodge, Will Shackleford, Kiersten Lyle, Brooke Lyle, Tori Lyle, Francie Hill and Charlie Hill; and great-grandchild Maddox Hodge. A man of strong Christian faith Mr. Hill was an active member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville. He was retired from Aetna Life and Casualty. A graduate of the University of Alabama, Mr. Hill was an avid follower of Crimson Tide athletics and named his beloved dog "Bama". He loved golf and fishing, and in his retirement enjoyed extensive world travels with his wife. Mr. Hill's Monday Men's Breakfast Group will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Active pallbearers are Trent Butler, Jim Cochran, Bill Ellisor, Norm Finney, Charles Fowler, Cecil Reynolds, and Ed Summers. A Life Celebration will be conducted at Crestview Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, Gallatin, Tennessee at 2pm on January 20 with Pastor Larry Gilmore officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview. Visitation with the family will be at Crestview on January 19 from 6-8pm and January 20 from 1-2pm.
