Robert (Bob) E. Henderson
Born October 4, 1934 and passed away October 15, 2016.
Preceded by parents, Robert E. and Lovell Davy Henderson; nephew, Michael Gentry. Survivors, wife, Elvana Cathy Mangrum Henderson; son, Mark (Joyce) Henderson; daughters, Kay Henderson, Amy Henderson; sister, Georgia Anne Gentry; niece, Pat Thayer; son-in-law, D.W. Dallas; grandsons, Drew Dallas, Aric Dallas, Evan Dallas, and Cody Henderson; great-granddaughter, Valentine Dallas.

Bob was born at home while his father worked and lived on the Caldwell farm in Hendersonville. His family were members of Hendersonville Church of Christ. Bob and his wife Cathy moved to the Nashville Road Church of Christ shortly after their children had grown up and left home. Bob worked for the Berry farm while he was a young boy in school. After graduating Hendersonville High School, he went to work for the Jim Reed farm in Brentwood, where his father was the farm manager. Bob worked for a brief period at the Coca Cola Company in Nashville, where he met his wife Cathy at a company picnic. They married in 1955 after a yearlong courtship. Bob worked at Coca Cola until he was hired at Gates Tire Company in Madison in 1961. He retired in 1993 after 32 years of service. Bob and Cathy built their home in Hendersonville in 1964 with the help of their bother-in-law, Morgan. Bob spent his retirement taking care of his wife and helping raise his grandsons Aric and Evan.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday at 12pm in the chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held prior from 10am -12pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E Main St Hendersonville, TN 37075 615-824-3855
