Billy Wayne Brown, 87, of Hendersonville, Tennessee, died at 1:15 pm on November 17, 2022, at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center. Bill was born on July 21, 1935, in Dickson, Tennessee. He graduated from Dickson High School and then moved to Nashville to attend college. He served in the United States Air Force for 6 years and was a professional truck driver for 43 years. He drove for Holley Carburetor in Bowling Green, Kentucky for the last 11 years of his career.
Bill married Marjorie Carson Brown on July 29, 1975, and they were happily married for 47 years. He loved Marjorie with all of his heart. He never missed an opportunity to tell others how she changed his life and that he was so thankful to be a part of her family. Bill was a member of First Baptist Church Hendersonville. He loved his church family and was a volunteer bus driver for the church for 24 years. He was also a volunteer bus driver for Park Place Retirement Community for 9 years.
He was the son of the late Bob Blake Brown and the late Daisy Tucker Brown Gilbert. He was also preceded in death by his sister Ellen Sue Byers.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Carson Brown, his son, Brandon Dwayne Brown and his wife Patty of White Bluff, Tennessee, two grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Funeral service celebrating Bill’s life will be held at 1 pm on Monday, November 21, 2022, at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, November 21, 2022, from 10 am-1pm. Burial will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.
Honorary pallbearer’s will be the Fellowship Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Hendersonville, active pallbearer’s will be family and friends.
