Bettie Ann Honeycutt, née Tillman, entered this life in 1932. She had struggled valiantly during the past year to recover from the debilitation of strokes. A couple of months short of her 93 trip around the sun she took her leave of this world. She was at home with her son by her side when her incredible spirit was released from her depleted shell of a body on February 28th. She is now sure to be joyfully reunited with her beloved mother and so many other welcoming souls. Among those who departed before her were her mother, Rena Tillman; her grandparents, Jim and Mandy Burgett; a wonderful busload of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and her husband 55 years, Charles Russell Honeycutt. Yet to join her are her son, C. Timothy Honeycutt, her daughter, Julie Ann Honeycutt (Michael Redfearn). She also leaves behind a grandson, Aaron Honeycutt Outs.
Bettie wanted no funeral service and requested to be cremated. Anyone who remembers her is asked to celebrate her life in their own way. Instead of flowers she hoped that you would do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness for some poor unfortunate soul in her name. If you would prefer, you could make a memorial donation to one of her favorite causes (or all of them!) including The American Heart Association, The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, or your local Humane Society.
