April 4, 1936 — January 26, 2025

Betty Jo Clark, age 88, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on January 26, 2025. She was born on April 4, 1936 in Westmoreland, Tennessee to the late Dewey and Lovella Harrison. She lived a life full of joy, characterized by her ability to find fun in any situation and her love for social gatherings where she thrived at the center of attention. Betty was not only known for her vivacious personality but also for her strong work ethic and fierce independence.

A proud alumna of Westmoreland High School, Betty's formative years equipped her with the confidence that she carried throughout her life. Though she was not an active member of the armed forces, she was married to a career Navyman. Together, they traversed the country, calling many places home from California to Virginia, and even spending three years in Edzel, Scotland. These experiences enriched her life, expanding her horizons and forming lasting memories.

Betty is survived by her loving husband, James Clark, and two devoted children, Kenneth Wayne Davis (Gail) and Jamie Lynn Brown (Eric); her grandchildren: Kendra Davis, Wayne Davis, Connor Davis, Kyle McBeth, Karter Simonsen, Dylan Summer, Stephanie Davis; along with nine beloved great-grandchildren. She also is survived by her siblings, Shirley Goodman (Jimmy), Tony Harrison, and Nancy Woodard. Her nurturing spirit and infectious energy will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey William Harrison and Verde Lovella (Simpson) Harrison; her daughter, Vickie Karen Davis; and siblings Sebeon Harrison, Junior Harrison, Nelly Harrison, and Patty Keen. Each of these losses left an indelible mark on her soul, yet she continued to embody strength and resilience throughout her life.
