Bernie D. Fuqua- age 70 passed away February 4, 2016. He was born in Goodlettsville, TN on February 20, 1945 to the late Bernie and Estellene King Fuqua. Bernie was an Army Veteran who served our country proudly in the Vietnam War. He was also a devoted member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion Post 17.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Faye Medley and brother, Allen Fuqua.
He is survived by son, Scotty D. Fuqua; stepsons, Wayne and Todd White; brothers, Bill Fuqua (Marila), Gerald Fuqua (Susan) and Mickey Fuqua (Nancy); special aunts, Shirley King Newton and Melba Roberts and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 12pm-2pm at Hendersonville Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sumner County Veterans Home.
