Bernice Elvin Castello of Hendersonville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the age of 92. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Edyth Castello, parents, Artha and Alma Castello, brother, Roy Castello and sisters, Bettie and Ruby Castello. Survived by his daughters, Sherry Castello and Gail Burnett (Randy), grandchildren, Michael Burnett, Megan Terry (Adam) and Miranda Burnett. Bernice is also survived by many other extended family and friends.

Bernice was born on February 4, 1926 in Robertson County, Tennessee. He worked for DuPont and retired from Ford Glass Plant. He served during WWII and the Korean War in the United States Navy, Air Force Reserve and Army Reserve. Bernice enjoyed gardening and traveling, especially to Daytona Beach, Florida. He attended Edgefield Baptist Church in Nashville. Bernice was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hendersonville Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 20th at 1:00PM. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 19th from 3:00PM-8:00PM, and again on Tuesday, one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Springhill Cemetery in Ridgetop, TN.
