Barbara received her BA degree in Education from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Fl. . She taught fourth grade in Indian Harbor Beach, Fl. before
joining Hunt Wesson Foods as a sales representative progressing to a supervisory role. Later taking a position selling computer software to businesses for
AT&T. Moving forward to a family owned software company in Jacksonville, Fl. After marriage she moved to Hendersonville, Tn. where she worked for a
financial planning company in Brentwood before joining Rabold & Hoover Food Brokerage. Later she was hired by The Tropicana Company calling on
grocery store operations mainly Kroger Nashville and Memphis. Upon moving to Ohio she started her own company Unlimited Potential as a business coach
for large and small companies. This was her favorite occupation of all as she combined her passion for teaching and utilized her business background. We
retired back to Hendersonville where Barbara became very active at Good Shepherd UMC serving on numerous committees, worked closely with the pastor
and taught a Sunday afternoon Bible studies of which Revelations with Lester Burkhart was her favorite. She had taught Revelations in Ohio to our Bible study
group.Barbara loved the church and she Loved the Lord. She was a powerful prayer warrior along with a group of women who got together every week .She
studied the Bible constantly along with religious books and mailings. She loved helping people thru difficult times or just being a soft shoulder to cry on. Over
the years she brought numerous people to Christ. There is a pastor who calls her "his spiritual mom" as she steered him toward the ministry .
She loved to sign to Christian music so every Sunday she would sign to the songs during the service She had not been able to sign for some time but on the Sunday before she entered she was signing to "It is well" by Bethal Music. She was once asked to sign for a funeral that had deaf family members
God did some fantastic things for her before the hospital: (1) He encouraged me to take her on the August rv camping club retreat. Some of her favorite
people were there. Littlte did I know it would be her last. (2) A small voice kept telling me to take her to Destin. Finally I listened a she spent two weeks sitting
on the balcony watching the Gulf and beachgoers. She got to go to her favorite restaurants one last time.(3) On the Sunday before she passed she had been
in ,what I will call a coma, for two days. All of a sudden she came to smiling, talking and laughing. When the nurse asked her where she was she lifted her head
off the pillow, had a great big smile and very loudly said "Heaven".Maybe she saw glimpses of heaven while in the coma.
Barbara was a Fantastic wife, partner, friend, supporter and the Love of my life..She was definitely a child of God.
God Blessed us with so many wonderful memories that will carry me forward. She was always there for me and together we faced the world.
Our love for each other was what always guided us and kept us strong.I will always Love and miss her but she is in the arms of Jesus where she should be.
I am so thankful that God gave us a second chance to be together and have such a Blessed life. God Bless you my Love.
