Barbara Haley, aged 84, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on March 7, 2025. Barbara was born on September 29, 1940, in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Perry and Letha Lutz.
Barbara attended Athens High School. Barbara’s love of the outdoors was evident in her passion for fishing and camping. Many cherished memories were made beneath the open sky, surrounded by nature’s beauty. Her adventurous spirit also drew her to travel, as she explored new places and created lasting memories along the way.
Barbara was a lover of antiques, often scouring markets and shops for unique treasures. She enjoyed doing puzzles; solving them brought her great satisfaction and joy.
Her artistic talents shone through in her love for embroidery. Barbara poured her creativity into each stitch, crafting beautiful pieces that showcased her artistry and attention to detail.
In addition to her parents, Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, David E. Haley, Sr.; her son, Jefferson Haley; her son-in-law, Patrick McDaniel; her granddaughter-in-law, Jamie Harper-Haley; and her grandson-in-law, Michael Navel.
Barbara is survived by her children, David Haley, Jr. (Karen), Julie McDaniel, Eric Haley (Thresa); her daughter-in-law, Dawn Haley; sister, Lillian Hillyer; her sister-in-law, Shirley Erskine (Gary); her grandchildren, Tabitha Haley, Joshua Haley, Gennifer Navel, Justin McDaniel, Adam McDaniel, Gage McDaniel, Jack McDaniel, Jennifer Clark (Andy), Rachel Sykes, Jeremy Haley, Erica Cheek (Trey), Andrew Haley, and Daylan Haley; her great grandchildren, Trevor, Will, Jerry, Layken, Lailah, Anthony, Skylar, Cayden, Kya, Gavin, Preslee, Kenley; and her great grandson on the way, Don.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or to St Jude in David and Barbara Haley's honor.
