Arthur “Art” Ramirez Arcinas, Sr., age 78, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on June 21, 2023. He was born on April 19, 1945 in Pinahan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines to the late Milagros and Marcelino Arcinas. He is also preceded in death by siblings, Cecilio R. Arcinas, Orfelina R. Arcinas, Cecilia A. Dela Cruz, and Marcelino R. Arcinas. Art had a close bond with his sister Teresita Arcinas who passed the day after learning of her brother’s passing. Art is survived by his wife of 51 years, Naty Arcinas; children, April Penny (Chris), Art Arcinas (Rachel), and Abi Arcinas; grandchildren, Jackson Zeus Penny, Zoe James Penny, and Avery Nicolas Arcinas; and siblings, Eugenio R. Arcinas; Milagros A. Cusile, Rodrigo R. Arcinas, and Eduardo R. Arcinas.
Art graduated from Northeast Luzon Academy in 1962. He then attended Madison Hospital School of Radiologic Technology in 1976. Art continued his career as a radiologic technologist until his retirement from Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Art enjoyed tennis, golf, bowling, karaoke, and boating. He especially loved spending time with his family on road trips, where he enjoyed the adventure as much as the destination. Art was a member of the Madison Campus Seventh-day Adventist Church for over 40 years.
Art was a man of many talents, a jack of all trades, and was genuinely good, if not great at anything he tried his hand at. Always carrying a huge smile on his face, Art loved life and lived it to the fullest. He loved his family and was extremely proud of his children and grandchildren. Art was a cherished husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home 353 E. Main Street Hendersonville, Tennessee. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation at Hendersonville Seventh-day Adventist Church 118 Anderson Lane Hendersonville, Tennessee. with Pastor Ken Wetmore officiating.
April Arcinas Penny, Arthur Arcinas, Jr., Abigail Arcinas, Jackson Penny, Chris Penny, Jonathan Mercado, and Clint Williams will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the North Eastern Luzon Adventist College, Art’s beloved alma mater in Alicia, Isabela, Philippines.
