Archie L. Shepherd - Age 82 of Hendersonville passed away August 17, 2014.
Archie was a great father, husband and friend. He attended college at Ole Miss University where he played football. After college he signed with the Chicago Bears but decided to start his career rather than play football. He was a Christian man that attended church at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian. He also served as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher.
Preceded in death by his parents, Pearl Maxey Shepherd & Elmer Shepherd; brothers, B. T. Shepherd, Winnon Shepherd, Smith Shepherd & Billy Shepherd. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Faye Shepherd; children, David "Rusty" Shepherd (Rene') & Terry Lyna Shepherd; grandchildren, Sarah Jane Shepherd, Ashley Faye Reeve & Rachel Caroline Shepherd; several nieces nephews & extended family members.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00a.m., Saturday August 23rd at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at church.
