Antoinette M. Stewart (Netty) of Christiansburg, VA passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2021 surrounded by her loving family at her grandson's home in Hendersonville, TN.

Netty was born in Vienna, Austria on September 1, 1929. She came to the United States in 1955 with her husband, Denver, who was in the United States Army. Netty loved gymnastics, ice skating and was a professional ballerina. She also loved bowling with her friends on her bowling team. Netty retired from the Kroger Company in 1988 and spent her free time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Netty was proceeded in death by her parents, Anton and Ottilia Leidlymayer, sister Hilde Hofherr, husband Denver L. Stewart and son-in-law Keith Hodge. She is survived by her daughter Shirley Hodge of Knoxville, TN, son Donald L. Stewart (Kim) of Acworth, GA, granddaughter Sheila Thayer (Wes) of Brentwood, TN, grandson Joey Miles (Bethany) of Hendersonville, TN, grandson Devan Stewart (Kenzie) of Acworth, GA and granddaughter Sidney Stewart of Acworth, GA. She also had four great-grandchildren - Shelby, Matthew and Emily Thayer and Savannah Miles.

The family would like to give special thanks to Amedisys Hospice for their compassionate care of Netty in the final weeks of her life.

Netty will be buried at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Dublin, VA with her loving husband Denver. The date and time of services are still to be determined.
