Anna Laura Mitchell-King of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Monday, September 20,2021 at the age of 97.
Anna born on March 29,1924 in Dayton, TN to the late Lester and Virginia Sally Riggs Marler. Anna is survived by her three children Laura Frances White (Jimmy) of Indianapolis, IN; Donald R. Mitchell (Sharon) of Indianapolis and Ronald S. Mitchell (Janet); 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great -great grandchild. Anna preceded in death by her two husbands William O. Mitchell, Jr. (42 years) and John King (30 years).
A service to celebrate Mrs. Mitchell-Kings life will be held at 6pm on the evening of Friday, September 24,2021 visitation will be held two hours prior to the start of the service and Brian Sheppard will be officiating. Interment will be held at 2pm on the afternoon of Saturday, September 25,2021 at Greenwood Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
Anna’s family relocated to N. Chattanooga where she graduated from Red Bank High School with honors that included receipt of The Daughters of the American Revolution award. After high school she was trained as an IBM operator and worked for American Lava Corporation and DuPont in Chattanooga. Throughout her life she was a faithful Christian and a member of the Church of Christ, Bible school teacher, minister and elders wife.
