It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of beloved wife and mother Anita Smith on November 16th, 2018, at the age of 52.

While she leaves us much too soon, the life she lived was intense and full of love. She spent much of her life raising and taking care of her family. She was always someone who wore her heart on her sleeve. If she had an opinion, she would for sure let you know. She loved crafting, shopping with her daughter, joking with her sons, and sharing time with her husband. Her favorite full-figured cat Molly will be lost without her, as will we all. Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Mae Miller and a sister, Tammy Hardaway.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Troy to whom she was married on October 22, 1985; her three beautiful children, Leslie Nichole Washburn (Ty), Troy "T.J." Smith Jr, and Cory Smith; her sister, Barbara Sircy (Jeff); her brother, Kenneth Hardaway (Connie); her father, Kenneth Wayne Hardaway; mother-in-law, Mary Williams. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at 11:00 A.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor Alan Baggett officiating. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Monday from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen have been requested to serve as active pallbearers and are requested to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday by 10:30 A.M.: Troy Smith, Jr., Cory Smith, Kenneth Hardaway, Ty Washburn, Jeff Sircy, Garrett Sircy, Rodney Green, and Nick Legan. The honorary pallbearer will be Joey Bass.

In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to First Tennessee Bank, William Troy Smith, Sr. in assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.
