Mr. Alvin Thomas "Tom" Murray age 88, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Friday, April 6, 2018.

Mr. Murray was born in Indianapolis, IN, on August 1, 1929, the son of the late Brian Murray and Melba Gray Murray. He served in the United States Navy and United States Air Force. Mr. Murray was a member of the Hendersonville Lodge #359 and the Shriners. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, golf, and telling jokes.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Murray to whom he was married on March 4, 1969; four sons, Tommy Murray, Mike Murray, Gene Long, and Jerry Long; four daughters, Debbie (Mark) Stovall, Vickie (Dale) Kagey, Debbie (Randall) Wakefield, and Cathy Nutter; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 2:00 P.M., Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hendersonville Memory Gardens with full military honors.

Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Monday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and Tuesday from noon until the funeral hour at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
