Alice Jerline (aka Jerrie) Porter was born April 8th, 1935 and went home Thursday, October 17th. She was born to Oakley McClard and Mamie Kemp McClard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Porter; sisters, Odie Mae Harper, Dean McClard Andrews; and brother, Eugene (Pug) McClard. She is survived by son, Chuck Porter and his wife Lisa; granddaughter, Kaylin Mercer (Sean), and grandson, Cole Porter and his wife, Logan. She is also survived by two great grandchildren, Ella Porter and Oliver Mercer.
She worked for over 50 years for Bennett Tool & Die Company as an accountant.
She was saved at Union Camp Missionary Baptist Church in Macon County, the third week of July in a Thursday Morning revival service. Currently she is a member of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Hendersonville.
A graveside service will be held for Jerrie on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Hendersonville Memory Gardens (353 E. Main St. Hendersonville, Tennessee 37075).
