Alex Smith

Alex “Bud” Smith, age 80, of Hendersonville, TN went to meet our Heavenly Father on Tuesday, June 29,2021 in Hendersonville. Bud was born in Hendersonville, TN and was the son of the late John and Ruby Brown Smith.

Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Ruth Vining Smith; children Gary McCloud (Pam), Patricia Lowery (Chester), Holly Hoffarth (Mark), DeeAnn Smith, Richard Green (Misty) and Jeff Vining. 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services to celebrate Bud’s life will be held at 10am on the morning of Thursday, July 8,2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4pm-8pm on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 7,2021 at Hendersonville Funeral Home.

Bud enjoyed the Bluegrass Marina and school bus driving. He had an infectious smile and laughter, and a great love for all. AKA “Smitty”
