FOHL, Alan J. – Age 78, passed away on Monday November 21, 2011, following complications from pneumonia. He is survived by his loving wife, Nell Lumpkin Fohl; his devoted sons, Blake Carrie & Jamie Lori; two grandchildren, Kristen and Zephen; brother, Otto Fohl; numerous nieces and nephews; along with countless caring friends and business associates throughout the USA resulting from a successful 40+ year career in the Medical Industry, with such leading companies as Johnson & Johnson, American Cynamide, Gould, Litton Industries, Pfizer and Zimmer. Mr. Fohl graduated from Norwich University, Northfield, VT., before serving his country in the U. S. Marine Corps, ultimately settling in Nashville where he reared his family in West Meade. Alan Fohl was first and foremost a family man and a dedicated husband and father. He was an active volunteer in many church and civic projects. Among his most treasured activities was his time spent as an involved member of St. Henry Catholic Church and as an athletics coach, helping mold the values and skills of Nashville's youth. A Funeral Mass will be held 11:30am Wednesday at St. Henry Catholic Church 6401 Harding Pike. Visitation will be 10:30am – 11:30am Wednesday at the church.
